Why We Built This Site
Oregon gives the public access to many government records, but Hood River County records do not sit in one office. Circuit Court case records are handled through Oregon Judicial Department systems and the local court administrator. Recorded documents, marriage licenses, property records, and many vital-record functions are handled by the Hood River County Assessment, Records, and Elections Department. Sheriff reports, jail information, and District Attorney copies follow separate request paths. Bringing those paths together helps reduce wrong-office trips between the courthouse in Hood River, the county records office, NORCOR in The Dalles, Justice Court in Cascade Locks, and Hood River Municipal Court.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. It is not part of Hood River County, the State of Oregon, the Oregon Judicial Department, Hood River County Circuit Court, the Sheriff, NORCOR, or any city court. There are real limits to what a private reference site can do:
- We cannot file paperwork, enter appearances, or send records requests on anyone's behalf
- We cannot issue certified copies of court documents, marriage records, recorded instruments, or vital records
- We cannot give legal advice or interpret how Oregon law applies to a specific case
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, office hour, or address is current at the moment a visitor reads it
Only the issuing court or government office can provide an official certified copy. A private reference page can point to the custodian, but the record must come from that custodian.
Search Partners
Some pages include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those providers run their own services, set their own pricing, and control their own results. When a visitor uses one of those tools and it leads to a paid signup, the site may earn a referral fee. The official Hood River County, Oregon court and records sources named in the body content remain separate from those third-party tools.
