Hood River County Jail Roster
Hood River County uses Northern Oregon Regional Corrections, usually called NORCOR, for adult custody. The Hood River County Sheriff's jail-information page sends users to NORCOR for adults in custody rather than a county-only jail roster. That is important because a Hood River County inmate record may be held in a regional table with adults from more than one county.
The public NORCOR Adults in Custody roster is free. The research capture on June 14, 2026 showed a timestamp, an inmate count, and columns for name, booking date, charges, bail, and scheduled release. No current inmate names are repeated here because roster data changes often and should be checked at the live source. The roster is useful for custody status, but it is not a complete court file.
For the roster entry source, the manifest captured the NORCOR in-custody mail rules page.
Mail rules matter because the address format uses the adult in custody name and file number, both of which should be checked against the current custody record.
Search Hood River County Inmates
The NORCOR custody list did not expose a text-view search box in the captured research. In practice, a Hood River County inmate search works by opening the roster, scanning the current table, and using the browser's find tool for a last name, first name, charge term, or release date. A booking-photo link may appear, but the page should not be treated as a full booking packet.
- Open the NORCOR Adults in Custody roster from the adult corrections site or the Sheriff jail-information link.
- Check the roster timestamp and total count so stale screenshots or shared copies are not mistaken for current custody data.
- Use browser find to search for a last name, first name, or charge phrase, then compare booking date and bail fields.
- Call NORCOR or the issuing court before acting on bail, release, or court-status information.
- For court outcomes, search the Oregon court record system or contact Hood River County Circuit Court.
Roster charges can include failure to appear, bench warrant, probation violation, DUII, fugitive hold, release-agreement violation, and other short descriptions. Those labels are custody clues. The complete court record may show more precise counts, statutes, pleas, judgments, and sentence terms.
Hood River County Roster Fields
Because NORCOR publishes a table rather than a county-only search form, the most useful Hood River County inmate lookup fields are the columns and system labels displayed in the roster. The table below follows the research capture and avoids fields that were not visible.
| Field Label | Type | Required | Options / Format Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Date/Time | System label | n/a | Roster timestamp for the custody list. |
| Inmate count | System label | n/a | Total adults in custody at the timestamp. |
| Name | Table column | n/a | Displayed in last, first, middle format. |
| Booking Date | Table column | n/a | Shown as month, day, and year. |
| Charges | Table column | n/a | Plain-language charge text; statute codes may appear when supplied. |
| Bail | Table column | n/a | May show a dollar amount or be blank for holds or no listed bail. |
| Scheduled Release | Table column | n/a | Date appears only when a release date is listed. |
| Image | Link | n/a | Booking photo or image link appears for many roster rows. |
Hood River County Inmate Fields
A visible NORCOR roster entry is narrow. It is enough to confirm a person may be in adult custody, but it does not prove the final court result. The sample field inventory below separates fields supported by the research from common jail fields that were not confirmed in the public table.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Image link | Booking-photo link or image reference when the roster provides one. |
| Name | The adult in custody name as displayed by NORCOR. |
| Booking date | The date NORCOR entered the person into custody. |
| Charge | Short charge, hold, violation, warrant, or custody reason text. |
| Bail or security | Listed amount when NORCOR publishes a bail or security figure. |
| Scheduled release | Release date when the roster includes one. |
| Not confirmed in table | DOB, height, weight, booking number, pod, judge, warrant number, and court date were not visible in the text capture. |
For court case fields, use Oregon court records rather than jail roster data. A full case may include a case number, register of actions, hearings, filings, dispositions, judgment, and sentence. A custody entry can lag or use shorter language than the court record.
Hood River County Jail Facilities
NORCOR is located in The Dalles, not at the Hood River courthouse. Hood River County Sheriff Matt English is listed on the NORCOR Adult Corrections oversight committee, but the adult and juvenile facilities have their own addresses, phone numbers, faxes, and email channels. Contact the correct facility before sending mail, scheduling a visit, or asking about custody status.

The Hood River County Sheriff's Office remains the local law-enforcement contact at 309 State Street in Hood River. Its main phone is 541-386-2098, and the 24-hour non-emergency number is 541-386-2711.
The manifest also captured the NORCOR visitation rules page.
Visitation is a facility process, so the schedule and GettingOut account requirements should be checked with NORCOR before travel.
Hood River County Custody Limits
NORCOR is a county and regional custody facility. It may hold people before trial, on short sentences, on sanctions, on local holds, or while awaiting transfer. A person sentenced to Oregon state prison is searched through the Oregon Department of Corrections system, not through the Hood River County inmate roster.
Federal custody is also separate. NORCOR roster entries may include a federal-hold phrase such as USM hold, but that is a jail roster note, not a complete federal docket. Federal criminal dockets should be searched in PACER, and federal prison custody should be checked through the Bureau of Prisons locator.
For federal custody source context, the manifest captured the Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate locator.
The federal locator is useful only after custody has moved into the federal prison system or when a federal inmate is being searched by BOP identifiers.
For federal court-account context, the manifest captured the PACER account portal.
PACER can show federal case filings, while NORCOR shows only local custody information visible on the roster.
Hood River County Inmate Visits
NORCOR uses GettingOut, Telmate, or ViaPath-style video visitation. Visitors can create an account at a lobby kiosk or visitation station, from a home computer at gettingout.com, or through the GettingOut Visits app. Adults in custody must confirm visits. All video visitation is monitored and recorded, except privileged legal communication.
| Day | Lobby visiting | Remote visiting |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. | 8:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. |
| Tuesday | 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. | 8:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. |
| Wednesday | 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. | 8:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. |
| Thursday | 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. | 8:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. |
| Friday | 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. | 8:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. |
NORCOR provides 60 minutes of video visitation at no cost. Free minutes become active at booking, run Monday through Sunday, reactivate each Monday, and do not carry over. Remote visits and added time cost $0.25 per minute. In-person friends and family visits may be requested after 30 days in custody, are limited to four people or two adults and two children, and occur Monday through Friday when staff and space are available.
Hood River County Inmate Contact
Mail must use NORCOR's format: NORCOR, AIC first and last name, file number, 201 Webber Street, The Dalles, OR 97058. Sender name and return address are required. NORCOR restricts many items, including maps, transportation schedules, stickers, cosmetics, food, gifts, tobacco items, glitter, glue, photocopies, and threatening or security-risk material.
For deposit rules, the manifest captured the NORCOR money and property rules page.
Deposits go through Telmate online, at the NORCOR Administration Lobby kiosk, or by money order made out to the adult in custody.
For phone rules, the manifest captured the NORCOR phone use page.
AIC telephones are in housing areas from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily, calls are collect through Telmate, and incoming calls are not accepted.
Hood River County Mobile Access
The HRCSO app is listed for Apple and Android as a Hood River County Sheriff's Office product. Its advertised features include contact information, news releases, emergency alerts, local weather, events, FAQs, current inmates, crime-tip submission, social posts, and Where Am I mapping. The app listing says it should not be used for emergencies.
The app does not replace NORCOR as the official custody source. Research did not confirm a separate app-only inmate field set. It can still be a practical path to current inmates and Sheriff contact tools when a phone is easier than a browser.
For booking reports or law-enforcement records, use the Sheriff records request process. Sheriff incident and case reports, CAD reports, DMV crash reports, citation copies, and audio/video have separate fees and may be restricted while a matter is active.
Note: Custody status, bail, warrants, and scheduled release can change quickly, so confirm urgent details with NORCOR or the issuing court.
